The upcoming game Sons of the Forest is similar to its predecessor, The Forest, as players will be playing as a character who is stranded on an island inhabited by cannibals. The players will need to build weapons and structures to aid in their survival. A new addition to the game is a non-playable character (NPC) companion named Kelvin, who is deaf. Kelvin can help players collect crafting resources and complete tasks.
Sons of the Forest will have a larger map than The Forest, with four times the size of its predecessor. The game supports up to eight-player cooperative multiplayer, but players can also choose to play the game solo.
